“Obedience is central to becoming, being, and remaining happy.”

David A. Bednar

Reflection: What this statement means is that being obedient is going to make us happy. It makes us happy because when we are obedient it makes others happy and making others happy should make us happy. When someone is disobedient, it makes everyone unhappy. It makes you unhappy because whoever you were supposed to be obeying is unhappy and when you get in trouble for being disobedient, you will be unhappy.

I’m doing okay with my life planning goals. I have about 100+ of them. I haven’t really accomplished many; only about 8. What I need to do better is read my goals more so I can actually accomplish them. I could also write more short range goals so it won’t take me so long. I could also start trying a little bit more to reach my goals because if I dot, I’m never going to accomplish them.
Class Reflection
1.      What did you like about this class?
What I liked about this class was that I got to learn a lot of new things that could really help me in life. I also liked that we would get free time.
2.      What did you dislike about this class?
What I disliked about this class was that when we got in trouble we had to write really long essays.
3.      What can you recommend to improve this class?
What I can recommend to improve this class is let the students choose their own seats.
4.      What will you always remember about this class?

What I will always remember the most about this class is all the life lessons we were taught.

Student Success Statement

“A wise man ought to realize that health is his most valuable possession.”

Hippocrates

Reflection: I think this statement means that your health is VERY important. Without it, you wouldn’t really be able to do anything. When you’re healthy, you can go anywhere you want and do anything you want. But if you unhealthy, then there’s always going to be a limit to what you can do. That’s why health is your most valuable possession.

Student Success Statement

“There is no giant step that does it. It’s a lot of little steps.”

ANON

Reflection: This statement means that you won’t always be able to achieve what you want to right away. Sometimes it will take some time. Maybe it’ll take a week or maybe it’ll take a year. But regardless of how long it takes, you will never give up. Just because you don’t reach your goal the first time, or it takes a long time to achieve it, it doesn’t mean you never will. You just need to be patient. For example, if your goal is to invent something, it’s going to take some time before you get it right. Just because you fail the first few times, it doesn’t mean you’re never going to be able to do it. It’s good to make some mistakes. That way you can learn from them and you’ll know what not to do. So when things don’t turn out right. Just keep trying and they eventually will.

Student Success Statement

“Right is right, even if everyone is against it: and wrong is wrong, even if everyone is for it.”

William Penn

Reflection: I think this quote means that we always need to make the right decision no matter what. If we really are about making the right decision, then we will always do it. Even if the right decision isn’t the most popular one. Just because everyone else is making bad decisions, it doesn’t mean you have to. You shouldn’t do anything you might regret just to fit in. For example, if all of your friends are going out and getting drunk, it doesn’t mean you have to. Maybe it might seem fun but bad actions have bad consequences.
